2024 IAA Transportation Emphasis: Meiller Advocates for Diversity
At the IAA Transportation 2024 event in Hannover, Meiller, a leading name in tipper and roll-off systems, unveiled new developments in their heavy-duty tipper semi-trailers and roll-off tippers. The focus was on enhancing functionality, operator convenience, and addressing the growing demand for efficiency and sustainability.
The Maxtreme heavy-duty rear tippers, designed for high loads and extreme transport volumes, were a key highlight. Meiller claims the chain flap on these tippers meets customer demand for an alternative to existing rear wall designs. The chain flap offers a mechanically operated trough closure, providing a more efficient and reliable solution.
Another innovation showcased was the new crane attachment concept, which is bolted and requires no welding. This concept aims to bring efficiency advantages during crane installation. Meiller also exhibited a patented crane mounting concept at Hannover, which is expected to address the steadily increasing demand for tippers with cranes.
The Tectris AK14 skip loader, designed for two-axle chassis of all drive types with a nominal load of 14 tons, has been improved for increased efficiency. The Tectris AK14 is KTL dip coated for excellent corrosion protection, ensuring durability and long service life.
The new crane attachment concept and the Tectris AK14 will be accompanied by the i.s.a.r. Control 3 remote control, which simplifies the work process through sequence control. This remote control is included with the Tectris AK14.
The Trigenius D212, a tipper for heavy 2-axle vehicles, equipped with a crane, will also be showcased. This tipper, along with the Tectrum RS21.70 roll-off tipper, has been designed for use in cities and residential areas, with a focus on low-friction tub supports made of high-strength plastic and a purely electrically driven chassis.
In addition to transporting bulk goods, tippers with cranes can load and unload themselves, potentially saving additional vehicles in operation. The Tectrum RS21.70 roll-off tipper, with a low tare weight and long service life, is a testament to Meiller's commitment to sustainability and efficiency.
The tipper semi-trailer has a new name: Grandload, emphasizing maximum load capacity and reliability. The Maxtreme H436 with chain trough and the Maxtreme P450 for the Chilean market will also be on display, showcasing Meiller's global reach and commitment to meeting diverse customer needs.
