Adcco Group Names Franz-Josef SchãŒrmann as Chief Sales and Innovation Officer and Mark De Smekt as Head of the Expanded Northern Europe Region

Franz-Josef Schuermann, who previously served as the Regional Head of Germany, Austria, Switzerland (DACH) since 2016, has been appointed as the Chief Sales & Innovation Officer. Schuermann, with his 20 years' experience in services and consulting across various industries and geographies, will be responsible for driving sales and innovation strategies for the company. Prior to joining The Adecco Group, Schuermann held several positions at Accenture, where he started his career in 1996.
In a related development, Schuermann's role as the Regional Head of DACH will be taken over by Mark De Smedt, who has been with The Adecco Group since 2002. De Smedt started as the Country Manager of Belgium and later served as the Chief Human Resources Officer between 2014 and 2016. From 2016, De Smedt has been the Regional Head of Northern Europe, comprising Benelux and Nordics. Now, he has been appointed as the Regional Head of the extended Northern Europe.
The DACH region will become part of the extended Northern Europe region as of 1 July 2017. This move is expected to strengthen The Adecco Group's presence in Europe and enhance its ability to provide comprehensive workforce solutions.
