Puma Appoints Andreas Hubert as Chief Operating Officer

In a strategic move to address a critical phase for the company, Puma has recruited Andreas Hubert (49) as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective September 1, 2025. Hubert, who was previously Adidas' Chief Information Officer (CIO), brings over 20 years of experience in sourcing, IT, and supply chain management to his new role at Puma.

Andreas Hubert's responsibilities at Puma will encompass global sourcing operations, IT, product development, logistics, and company-wide sustainability initiatives. This consolidation of several operational responsibilities previously spread across different departments marks a significant change at Puma, with Hubert taking over roles previously held by three board members.

Hubert's extensive experience at Adidas, which spanned over fourteen years, includes senior sourcing roles based in Hong Kong and leading technology strategy as CIO. At Puma, he is expected to drive digital transformation, optimize global operations, and strengthen supply chain resilience as the company aims for sustainable, long-term growth.

Puma CEO Arthur Hoeld highlighted Hubert’s combined expertise in IT, sourcing, and supply chain management as crucial for advancing Puma’s international operations and positioning it for future growth. Hubert himself expressed enthusiasm for reinforcing Puma’s operational foundation, accelerating innovation, and enhancing supply chain agility to build a more resilient and customer-focused organization.

The leadership restructuring brings Puma’s executive committee to five members: CEO Arthur Hoeld, CFO Markus Neubrand, Chief Product Officer Maria Valdes, Chief Commercial Officer Matthias Bäumer, and COO Andreas Hubert.

Hubert's appointment comes at a crucial time for Puma, as indicated by Hoeld, who also announced a loss for the year. The new brand and sales strategy announced by Hoeld is a key part of the company's response to the critical phase. Puma produces more than 90% of its goods in Asia, and Hubert's expertise in sourcing and supply chain management is expected to play a significant role in optimizing operations and driving growth in this region.
