PassionAir, Ghana's largest domestic airline, has officially started flights between Sunyani and Accra, expanding its route network further within the country. The inaugural flight from Sunyani marked a significant milestone, as PassionAir becomes the first airline to operate in the region following the recent airport inauguration.

At a brief ceremony marking the occasion, Samuel Ato Hagan, Managing Director of PassionAir, expressed his delight at the airline's expansion into Sunyani, highlighting the company's commitment to providing excellent service and ensuring passenger safety. Hospitality and tourism entities in the region were encouraged to leverage the new route to boost their businesses.

In his remarks, Transport Minister Kweku Ofori Asiamah praised PassionAir for launching services to Sunyani amidst limited empirical data assuring high passenger traffic. He commended the airline's confidence in the region's potential for growth.

PassionAir's route network primarily consists of domestic flights between Accra and key regional cities, such as Kumasi, Tamale, and Sunyani. The airline regularly operates flights such as OP152 (Accra–Kumasi) and OP158 on these routes, ensuring consistent connectivity for passengers.
