Albemarle Unveils Revised Company Structure for Improved Operations
Albemarle Corporation Announces New Organizational Structure for Enhanced Agility and Efficiency
Albemarle Corporation, a global leader in transforming essential resources into critical ingredients for mobility, energy, connectivity, and health, has announced changes to its organizational structure. The new structure, effective August 11, 2025, is designed to enhance agility, operational efficiency, and accelerate market-led growth by aligning key functions in an integrated and customer-focused model.
In this new structure:
- Mark Mummert is appointed Chief Operations Officer (COO). He leads an integrated function combining resources, manufacturing, capital projects, and supply chain management. Mummert reports directly to CEO Kent Masters and is responsible for optimizing Albemarle’s world-class resources, including joint venture management and global manufacturing operations.
- Autumn Gagarinas becomes Chief People and Workplace Transformation Officer. Reporting to the CEO, she focuses on talent and culture development alongside business process and technology optimization. Gagarinas, who has served as Albemarle’s Vice President of Human Resources for over two years, will continue to drive these initiatives.
- Melissa Anderson continues her role as Chief Business Transformation Officer, leading Albemarle’s enterprise strategy and growth initiatives as well as overseeing research and technology efforts. She also reports to CEO Kent Masters.
This organizational redesign replaces the previous structure, with Netha Johnson departing, and aims to drive operational excellence and greater market responsiveness under the integrated leadership team.
