ALDI U.S. Promotes Karla Waddleton to COO
Karla Waddleton, a seasoned executive with over 24 years of experience at ALDI U.S., has been promoted to the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). This promotion marks a significant milestone in Waddleton's career, which began as a district manager in St. Louis back in July 2001.
Throughout her tenure at ALDI U.S., Waddleton has held various key roles, including director of store operations in the Houston, Texas, market and VP. Her dedication and commitment to the company have been instrumental in ALDI U.S.'s success, as noted by the outgoing CEO, Atty McGrath.
McGrath expressed his excitement about Waddleton's leadership, stating that it will help ALDI U.S. continue to build momentum and enhance operations. Waddleton, in turn, expressed her gratitude and enthusiasm for the promotion, expressing her eagerness to harness the collective momentum, focus on driving innovation, and deliver exceptional value to ALDI U.S.'s customers.

As for McGrath, he will be shifting to a Group COO officer on the executive board of ALDI South in Salzburg, Austria, starting September 1, 2025. The company has not mentioned any changes in CEO roles in this announcement.
Waddleton earned a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
