Alpha Foods Co. Acquired by e2p, Marking New Era for Frozen Pizza Maker

Alpha Foods Co., a national frozen pizza manufacturer, has been acquired by Entrepreneurial Equity Partners ('e2p') through its portfolio company MBC Companies. The family-owned business, founded by Greek immigrants George and Athena Sarandos in 1984, has grown from humble beginnings to serve institutional and retail customers across the country.

Alpha Foods Co. operates a sprawling 115,000 square foot facility in Waller, Texas. The company supplies its products to a wide range of customers, including K-12 schools and national grocery chains. e2p, a Chicago-based private equity firm focusing on the food industry, will now oversee Alpha Foods Co.'s operations. Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP represented Alpha Foods Co. during the sale to MBC Companies.

The acquisition of Alpha Foods Co. by e2p through MBC Companies marks a significant shift for the frozen pizza manufacturer.
