Anker Technology Ltd. faces a lawsuit from PRIMONO undertaking group, alleging a million-dollar claim following the termination of their premium partnership.
Berlin-Based PRIMONO Tec GmbH Files Million-Euro Lawsuit Against Anker Technology Ltd
In a surprising turn of events, PRIMONO Tec GmbH, a Berlin-based company within the PRIMONO Group, has announced its intention to file a million-euro lawsuit against Anker Technology Ltd. The lawsuit stems from the termination of a strategic partnership aimed at sales, installation, and assembly of photovoltaic systems in Germany.
The partnership, which began in the autumn of 2024 and was formalised with a framework agreement signed with a European unit of the Anker Group in December 2024, was intended to last at least two years. Key business terms included exclusive lead provision, target quantities, and joint market presence in Germany.
Primono was Anker’s exclusive premium partner for launching the "Solix X1" home storage solar system in Germany. PRIMONO was presented as the central implementation partner for the "Solix X1" at product training, public events, and partner meetings.
However, the partnership hit a snag when Anker failed to deliver even 1,000 of the 5,000 qualified leads promised for 2025 by July, despite multiple warnings from Primono. CEO Uwe Hallas states that only 20% of the guaranteed leads were delivered by this time.
As a result of these failures, PRIMONO made significant investments in IT, training, inventory, and marketing based on the partnership. The company also contractually bound subcontractors and concluded bank-financed operating means contracts. The economic damage is estimated to amount to several million euros.
The termination of the partnership was followed by the announcement of the judicial enforcement of damage claims. The lawsuit is expected to be filed at the competent regional court in the coming week.
This development comes as a blow to Anker Technology Ltd, which had hoped to capitalise on the growing demand for renewable energy solutions in Germany. PRIMONO, on the other hand, is determined to seek justice for the losses incurred due to the partnership's premature termination.
In the wake of Anker Technology Ltd's failure to deliver 90% of the promised leads for the photovoltaic systems partnership, PRIMONO Tec GmbH, a Berlin-based business in the PRIMONO Group, is pursuing a million-euro lawsuit against the finance industry rival. This lawsuit, rooted in the partnership's termination, stems from breach of business terms, leading to significant losses in the energy sector.
