Aschaffenburg Launches 'Baby-Friendly Network' for Families
A new initiative is launching in Aschaffenburg to support families with babies and young children. The 'Baby-friendly Business Network' aims to help parents find places where they are welcome for breastfeeding, feeding, changing, or using the toilet. Participating businesses will display a sticker, provided free of charge, to indicate their family-friendly services.
Interested businesses can register at [email protected]. There's no obligation to consume at these businesses; offers can be used during opening hours without making a purchase. Participating businesses must have a seating area for breastfeeding or feeding, a changing facility, or a free toilet.
The initiative is part of World Breastfeeding Week and is supported by the Gesundheitsregionplus district, the city of Aschaffenburg, the Equal Opportunities Office, and the Department of Preventive Youth Welfare. It aims to show families that they are welcome without barriers or consumption pressure, and to encourage businesses to be family-friendly. Further information can be found at www.anfang-an.de.
Businesses, cafés, and other facilities can participate by displaying a baby-friendly sticker. The initiative seeks to make daily life easier for families with babies and young children in Aschaffenburg.
