AudioUK & BBC Relaunch Audiotrain for Podcast & Audio Skills
AudioUK, in collaboration with the BBC, has relaunched Audiotrain, a comprehensive skills and training platform for the podcast and audio sector. The initiative marks the start of a three-year programme combining online and in-person instruction, with the first series of 19 webinars launching on September 25, 2025.
The platform offers on-demand educational content free of charge to podcast and audio professionals, content creators, and industry newcomers. It targets a wide range of users, from those seeking to sharpen their skills to those looking to stay current with industry trends and expand their audience reach.
The instructional content was developed and presented by professionals from renowned organizations such as the BBC, National Theatre, Amnesty International, ITV, and Goalhanger. Audiotrain is structured around three core competency areas: Creative, Business, and Technical skills, aiming to address competency gaps across the UK's podcast and audio sector.
Chloe Straw, CEO of AudioUK, expressed that Audiotrain provides practical, high-quality training, empowering everyone to grow their skills and reach new audiences. Dawn Beresford, Director of Talent & Skills at the BBC, echoed this sentiment, expressing delight in the BBC's partnership with AudioUK to enhance training availability within the podcast and audio sector.
