Azucar Gains 60% Stake in Nevada Claims, Executive Steps Down
Azucar Minerals Ltd. (TSX-V: AMZ; OTCQX: AXDDF) has recently inked an Option-Joint Venture exploration agreement with Almadex Minerals Ltd., gaining the option to acquire a 60% interest in three of Almadex's Nevada claims. Meanwhile, Douglas McDonald has stepped down as Director and Executive Vice President of McDonald's, but will continue to advise the company.
The agreement, approved by the TSX Venture Exchange, gives Azucar the opportunity to acquire a 60% stake in the Pilot, Confusion Hills, and Red Ring prospect blocks, all wholly owned by Almadex in Nevada. This move expands Azucar's exploration portfolio and strengthens its position in the region.
In other news, Douglas McDonald has resigned from his roles as Director and Executive Vice President, effective October 2, 2025. However, he will continue to contribute to the company in an advisory capacity. McDonald's resignation comes amidst a period of strategic growth and expansion for Azucar.
Azucar Minerals Ltd. has secured a significant exploration option in Nevada and continues to grow its presence in the region. Despite the departure of Douglas McDonald from his executive roles at McDonald's, his continued advisory role ensures a smooth transition and ongoing expertise for the company.
