Bad Salzuflen Raid Uncovers Undeclared Work, Safety Violations, and Unlicensed Driver
A joint operation involving several agencies in Bad Salzuflen on Friday, September 24, 2025, resulted in the discovery of various violations and the identification of a driver without a license. The control action, focusing on undeclared work, illegal employment, tax fairness, and occupational safety, was conducted by the Trade Office of Bad Salzuflen, the Financial Control Office for Undeclared Work, and the Lippe District Police Authority, in cooperation with the Financial Control Schwarzarbeit (FKS), Kreispolizeibehörde Lippe, Ordnungsamt of Bad Salzuflen, and Finanzamt Detmold.
During the operation, a total of 32 employees were encountered. However, 11 persons in the mandatory ID-carrying sector were found without identification documents. Minor violations were also discovered, including incorrect displays, deficiencies in fire protection, insufficient labeling of escape routes, inadequate storage of food, and blocked escape routes. The inter-agency cooperation was crucial for the success of the control action, ensuring a comprehensive inspection of hairdressing and catering businesses in the city center. Additionally, a 27-year-old driver was identified without a driver's license, and criminal charges were filed against both the driver and the vehicle owner.
The control action in Bad Salzuflen highlighted the importance of inter-agency cooperation in addressing undeclared work, illegal employment, and occupational safety issues. The discovery of various violations and the identification of an unlicensed driver underscore the need for such operations to maintain a safe and fair business environment.
