Bike enthusiasts, take note! Over 30,000 bicycle helmets from renowned brand Bell Sports have been recalled due to falling short of the impact safety standards set by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

These recalled helmets, part of the Axle, Cadence, Rev, Frenzy children's collection, and Cadence, Passage adult helmets, carry model numbers B0605Y, B0605C or B0494Y for the children's varieties, and B0605Y for the adult helmets. These helmets were peddled in traditional retail stores such as Walmart, Target, Academy Sports+ Outdoors, and online outlets like Amazon from September 2024 through May 2025, each priced around $20.

The alarming issue? These helmets, while stylish with their range of colors and designs, may not provide adequate protection during an accident, potentially posing a risk to the wearer's noggin.

Want your money back? Simply snap a picture of the helmet with the straps snipped off and send it to [email protected] for a full refund. It's essential to destroy the recalled helmet to prevent any accidental usage.

It's crucial to mention that only specific production months/dates are affected, and the manufacture date can be found inside the helmet, either in MM/YY or M/YY format. To ensure your helmet isn't part of the unsafe lot, check its compliance with the obligatory federal safety impact requirements.

Stay safe and bike smart! This recall serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to safety guidelines when choosing protective gear for your cycling adventures.

The recalled Bell Sports helmets, without considering the industry of bicycles, are substantially linked to the retail sector, sold in traditional stores and online outlets from September 2024 to May 2025. As the finance department of Bell Helmets is offering full refunds for these faulty helmets, it is prudent to comply with the safety measures and submit evidence of ownership for reimbursement.
