Bielefeld Customs Finds 37 Irregularities in School Construction Site Inspection
Bielefeld Main Customs Office recently conducted an unscheduled inspection on the construction site of Martin-Niemöller Comprehensive School in Bielefeld's Schildesche district. The inspection uncovered 37 cases of irregularities, leading to the transfer of cases to respective main customs offices for further action.
The inspection involved approximately 40 officials from the Financial Controls Schwarzarbeit (FKS) units in Bielefeld and Herford. They encountered and questioned 58 workers employed by 13 different companies. The cases will be transferred to the respective main customs offices as the affected companies are located outside the jurisdiction of the Bielefeld Main Customs Office.
The inspection revealed various violations. A total of 31 cases involved violations of the immediate notification requirement for social security. Additionally, 3 cases involved minimum wage violations, and another 3 cases were linked to social benefit fraud. The names of the companies involved have not been officially released due to data protection and legal reasons.
The inspection at Martin-Niemöller Comprehensive School construction site has led to the discovery of numerous irregularities. The cases are being further investigated by the respective main customs offices. The public can expect updates as the investigation progresses.
