Black Group's presence intensifies in the capital, due to Ateş's influence

In a significant move, the Schwarz Group, a leading German retail company headquartered in Berlin, has appointed Sevgi Ateş as the Public Affairs Manager for Energy & Climate and Construction & Urban Development. Ateş will commence her new role on January 1, 2025, at the Schwarz Group's Berlin headquarters.

Ateş brings a wealth of experience to her new position. Prior to joining the Schwarz Group, she served as a scientific advisor in the offices of Members of Parliament Markus Hümpfer and Karamba Diaby, working for Dr. Karamba Diaby MdB from 2014 to 2021 and then for Markus Hümpfer MdB until 2024.

In her new role, Ateş will be responsible for managing public affairs related to energy, climate, construction, and urban development within the Schwarz Group's parliamentary representation in Berlin. She will work closely with Robert Schachtschneider, head of Energy, Climate & Transport, and Silvia Warth, head of Construction & Urban Development, and report directly to Stefan Giffeler, head of the main representation.

Robert Schachtschneider and Silvia Warth, in their respective roles, oversee the energy, climate, transport, construction, and urban development sectors at the Schwarz Group. Ateş's role is expected to involve engaging with policymakers and stakeholders on regulatory and political issues affecting these sectors.

Stefan Giffeler, head of the Berlin headquarters at the Schwarz Group, will provide leadership to Ateş in her new role. The Schwarz Group, with its headquarters in Berlin, Germany, is a major player in the retail industry, known for its commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.
