Patrick Graichen, a renowned German energy policy expert, has been appointed as a new member of Ukrenergo's supervisory board, marking a significant move for the state-owned energy company.
Graichen, known for his work in shaping energy transition and climate policy, brings a wealth of experience to Ukrenergo. Before joining the company, he served as State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), where he focused on energy and climate policy. Prior to that, he was the Executive Director of Agora Energiewende, a prominent think tank dedicated to promoting the transition to renewable energy in Germany.

Graichen's term in the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action ended in May 2023, and this will be his first position outside of the German government.

The announcement of Graichen's appointment has been made public, and he is now a part of Ukrenergo's supervisory board. This move is seen as a strategic decision by Ukrenergo, as they look to navigate the complexities of the energy sector in the face of climate change.
