Boom-time at the Nuremberg Trade Show

The Nuremberg Fair, a renowned international trade fair based in Germany, had a successful year in 2020, setting new records in visitor and exhibitor numbers. However, the fair's current foreign turnover, which accounts for around one third of the total turnover, is below 100 million euros, as stated by CEO Peter Ottmann. With a focus on expanding international business and presence beyond Germany and Europe, the fair's future target is to increase this share to 50 percent.

Last year, the Nuremberg Fair's business was successful in 17 countries, with CEO Peter Ottmann and the fair's team present in these nations. The fair is currently ranked among the top 3 in Brazil, Greece, and India. Despite these achievements, the fair has not yet reached 100 million euros in foreign turnover, which is its current goal.

To achieve this goal, the Nuremberg Fair made a significant investment of around 100 million euros in the expansion and renovation of its Langwasser grounds. This expansion is expected to further boost the fair's international appeal and capacity to host larger events.

The Nuremberg Fair is not stopping at 100 million euros in foreign turnover. The fair aims to increase its foreign turnover from the current 17 percent to 20 percent going forward. This ambitious target reflects the fair's commitment to continued growth and success in the international market.
