Bugatti Introduces the Exclusive Solitaire Division, Unveiling the Single-Edition Brouillard Supercar
Bugatti has unveiled its latest masterpiece, the Bugatti Brouillard, a unique, one-off hypercar that showcases the pinnacle of the brand's engineering and design prowess.
The Brouillard is the first product from Bugatti's Solitaire division, which specializes in creating bespoke vehicles tailored to each owner's specifications. This exclusive vehicle was commissioned by an anonymous Bugatti car and art collector.
Under the hood, the Brouillard houses the brand's iconic 8,0 L quad-turbocharged W16 engine, delivering an impressive 1,578 horsepower (1,600 PS) and 1,180 lb-ft (1,600 Nm) of torque. The engine is similar to the brand's existing powertrain, but the Brouillard represents the final and pinnacle development of the W16 platform before Bugatti's shift toward hybrid powertrains.
The Brouillard's overall profile resembles the Mistral roadster, without a roof, and it shares headlamps and taillamps with the Mistral. However, the interior of the Brouillard features unique materials, with green fabrics and tartan pieces specially woven in Paris. A bust of a horse's head is included in the gear shifter, replacing the elephant sculpture found in the Mistral. The interior also features running horses stitched into the door panels and horses' heads depicted on the seats, reflecting the equestrian theme named after Ettore Bugatti's favorite horse.
The Brouillard adopts an equestrian theme, with a clear roof panel, a fixed spoiler, a large rear diffuser, and strategically placed air intakes for cooling the brakes and engine without disrupting airflow. The design features a distinctive two-tone finish with satin green paint on the upper body and green-tinted exposed carbon fiber on the lower sections, giving a dynamic, athletic muscle appearance likened to "a trained horse" by Bugatti's design director. The Brouillard also sports old-school roof scoops, side blades behind the front wings reminiscent of the Divo model, and a specially designed rear diffuser that maximizes functional surface area via innovative exhaust packaging.
The Brouillard is a one-off bespoke hypercar created under Bugatti’s Solitaire division. The Solitaire division produces only two commissioned vehicles per year, making each creation a truly unique and valuable piece of automotive history. The Brouillard's paint color and wheels are unique and seem to draw inspiration from Alfa Romeo.
The Brouillard is expected to be extraordinarily expensive, potentially in the eight-figure range given its bespoke status and cutting-edge engineering. It is considered a 2026 model year vehicle by the company, and the second Solitaire model may not be seen for a few more months.
In summary, the Bugatti Brouillard stands out as a hyper-exclusive, powerful, and aerodynamically advanced one-off that combines the ultimate refinement of the legendary W16 engine with a uniquely personal, coachbuilt design emphasizing both stunning aesthetics and track-capable performance.
The Brouillard, with its unique engineering and design, represents a fusion of the automotive and finance industries, as it is an extremely expensive one-off bespoke hypercar. The Solitaire division, which specializes in creating tailored vehicles, demonstrates the interplay between transportation and art, with each creation becoming a valuable piece of automotive history in the industry.
