Celebrated Sharing of U1 during the Easter break
Dear readers, we have some important updates regarding public transportation in Vienna during the upcoming Easter holidays.
Firstly, good news for those who frequently use Tram line E1. From April 12 to 21, the E1 line will operate at a 5-minute interval between Reumannplatz and Quartier Belvedere during the day. This increased frequency should make your commute smoother and more reliable.
However, it's essential to allow extra time for your journey, as the works may cause some delays. To help you plan your route, we recommend using the WienMobil website (wienmobil.at) or the WienMobil app.
Unfortunately, we could not find information about the responsible person for the modernization of the U1 line during this period or the person in charge of setting up the replacement service with the tram E1. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
In better news, the U1's operation will not be affected by the works on the tunnel ceiling. However, the U1 will not operate in the area between Leopoldau and Südtiroler Platz-Hauptbahnhof, as well as between Oberlaa and Reumannplatz from April 12 to 21.
Lastly, Line 6 passengers from the 10th and 11th districts will benefit from a reduced 4-minute interval during the Easter holidays. This will bring more passengers to the U4 station Margaretengürtel, making it easier for you to connect to other lines.
We hope this information helps you navigate the city during the Easter holidays. Stay tuned for more updates, and remember to travel safely!
