Celebrating Exceptional Women Pioneers at Grihshobha Inspire Awards 2025

The Grihshobha Inspire Awards 2025, held on 20th March at the Travancore Palace in New Delhi, honoured women from various fields, including folk arts, governance, public policy, social impact, business, STEM, automotive, and entertainment.

The prestigious event was graced by the presence of several eminent personalities, including Ms. Aruna Roy, Ms. Indira Jaisingh, Ms. Shovana Narayan, and Ms. Subhashini Ali, who presented the awards. The jury panel, consisting of notable figures like Ms. Sathya Saran, Ms. Padmapriya Janakiraman, Ms. Richa Shah, Ms. Nuriya Ansari, Ms. Dilshad Master, and Ms. Surabhi Kanga, judged the awards.

In the realm of entertainment, Ms. Tillotama Shome was honoured as Empowerment through Entertainment - Onscreen, while Ms. Konkona Sen received the same award for her contributions off-screen. The legendary actress, Ms. Shabana Azmi, was also recognised for her contributions to cinema and advocacy for social change, receiving the Empowerment through Entertainment - Icon award.

In the automotive industry, Ms. Kripa Ananthan was celebrated as Changemaker, while India's first Kiwi winemaker, Ms. Tage Rita Takhe, received the Business Leadership - Achiever award. Ms. Suparna Mitra, CEO of Titan Watches, was recognised as Business Leadership - Icon.

Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, a pioneer in public health and scientific research, received the Nation Builder - Icon award. Her contributions were further celebrated as she was also awarded for her excellence in health content creation. Dr. Tanaya Narendra was similarly recognised for her excellence in health content creation.

For her advocacy in cancer care, Ms. Viji Venkatesh was named New Beginnings - Icon. In the field of legal activism, Ms. Kiruba Munusamy was named Social Impact - Achiever. The historic legal battles for gender equality and rights of the LGBTQ community by Dr. Menaka Guruswamy & Ms. Arundhati Katju were recognised with the Social Impact - Changemaker award.

Dr. Rani Jha was awarded for her contributions to preserving folk arts, receiving the Folk Heritage - Icon award. Ms. Aditi Gupta, founder of Menstrupedia, was awarded the Homepreneur - Achiever for her innovative work. For her pioneering work in water conservation, Ms. Amla Ruia was recognised as Grassroots Changemaker - Achiever.

Ms. K.K. Shailaja, former Kerala Health Minister, received the Timeless Icon award. Ms. Shruti Seth was named for her excellence as a content creator in parenting, and Ms. Leeza Mangaldas was recognised for her excellence in empowerment content creation.

Grihshobha, published by Delhi Press, is the largest read Hindi women's magazine in India with over 1 million readers. It is an engaging compendium of articles on home management, fashion, beauty, cookery, health, and stories on relationships, published in 8 languages. Despite the absence of the guest of honor, Amitabh Bachchan, the Grihshobha Inspire Awards 2025 was a resounding success, celebrating the achievements of women across various fields.
