CII Launches Market Facilitation Services to Boost Global Expansion
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has expanded its global reach with the launch of Market Facilitation Services (MFS) in 2019. This initiative aims to assist companies in entering international markets by providing comprehensive reports and advisory services.
CII's journey in facilitating global expansion began in 1977 when it opened its first overseas office in Saudi Arabia. This marked the start of the organisation's commitment to helping Indian companies explore international markets.
In the same year, the Indian government established the Export Promotion Council (EPC) to promote the global activities of Indian companies, initially focusing on Middle Eastern markets. While no specific business or private company is officially documented to have opened an overseas office in 1977, this policy action reflects the government's early efforts to encourage international trade.
MFS offers a range of services, including Country Import Profile Reports, Export Advisory Reports, and Investment Advisory Reports. These reports provide companies with vital information to make informed decisions about entering new markets. Additionally, MFS offers fee-based, bespoke firm-level advisory services tailored to specific company requirements.
With the launch of MFS in 2019, CII continues its 43-year legacy of assisting companies in expanding globally. By providing comprehensive reports and advisory services, CII empowers businesses to make strategic decisions about entering new markets, fostering India's global trade and industry.
