Collaboration Amongst OTT.X, Cineverse, and Pledge for California Wildfire Aid and Recovery
In a heartwarming display of solidarity, Cineverse, OTT.X, and Pledge have joined forces to aid communities affected by the recent wildfires in California. This collaboration aims to leverage donated advertising space and financial contributions to support relief efforts.
The campaign, launched by the three organisations, encourages viewers to donate to wildfire relief. Viewers can text GIVELA to 707070 or scan a QR code to contribute to the cause at https://www.pledge.to/cineverse-LA-fire-support.
Cineverse, with a network reaching 80 million viewers a month, has made a corporate donation of $10,000 to charitable organisations supporting Los Angeles wildfire relief. Additionally, the spot is available for all OTT.X members to use on their linear FAST channels and AVOD platforms. Channels currently running the spot include Barney, Comedy Dynamics, Crime Hunters, Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan, Dove Channel, RetroCrush, and The Bob Ross Channel.
The funds raised will be distributed among various charitable organisations, each playing a crucial role in the recovery process. GoFundMe Org's Wildfire Relief Fund is supporting relief and recovery efforts related to the Palisades, Eaton, and Hurst wildfires in L.A. County. The Los Angeles Food Bank, with partner agencies, is providing vital assistance to those impacted by the fires, which have disrupted access to nutritious food.
Other organisations receiving support include the California Fire Foundation, which supports families of fallen firefighters and the firefighters themselves, with donations strengthening its work. Pasadena Humane has rescued over 400 animals from the Eaton Fire Emergency and urgently needs monetary donations to cover medical supplies and resources.
The Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation is providing mental health services to marginalised communities affected by the L.A. wildfires. Animal Wellness Foundation is urgently seeking monetary donations to provide medical care, food, and shelter for animals affected by the L.A. fires. PATH: People Assisting the Homeless has responded swiftly to the devastating fires impacting Los Angeles County, providing critical resources and assistance to those in urgent need.
Baby2Baby has provided over 2 million emergency supplies to children and families affected by the Los Angeles fires. Chamber of Mothers L.A. Chapter is supporting moms and their families suffering from the L.A. wildfires through various local initiatives. Altadena Girls, a charitable organization, is helping young girls regain their sense of self and confidence after the wildfires.
Erick Opeka, OTT.X vice chairman and Cineverse president & chief strategy officer, has expressed his support for California wildfire relief efforts. Cineverse has also created a 15-second spot for wildfire relief donations. This partnership is a testament to the power of collaboration in times of crisis, as organisations come together to support those in need.
