In a development that could provide a significant boost to Munich's city centre, the MUC.ONE project is set to resume construction in the autumn. The announcement comes after a delay due to preliminary insolvency of a subsidiary of the Austrian firm Imfarr in February 2024.

The project, which involves the construction of a fully automated underground garage with 549 parking spaces and 11,853 square metres of office space, has secured financing following the involvement of a Luxembourg-based real estate fund. This investor will cover the costs for comprehensive securing of the construction site, ensuring its immediate restart.

Talks are also being held with other investors to expand the capital base and ensure the long-term security of the project. The main investor will also be responsible for a unique feature of the MUC.ONE project: a beer garden on the rooftop of the building complex.

The optimistic outlook for the project's future is shared by Georg F. Kreplin, the insolvency administrator, who believes that the MUC.ONE project could play a crucial role in revitalising Munich's city centre.

The MUC.ONE project, with its innovative design and amenities, is set to become a landmark in Munich's city centre upon completion. Further details about the project's timeline and specific investors are expected to be finalised after the summer break, following an agreement with all parties involved.
