Construction and infrastructure sector welcomes expansion with recruitment of experts from Watson Farley & Williams by JTJB in Singapore.

Joseph Tan Jude Benny (JTJB) has strengthened its capabilities and services with the launch of a new Construction and Infrastructure Practice, headed by Senior Partner Boon Tat Yeo.

Boon Tat Yeo, who joined JTJB from Watson Farley & Williams (WFW), brings over two decades of experience in the field. He was appointed to this role in July 2025, and his responsibilities include leading and developing the Construction and Infrastructure Practice at JTJB.

Boon Tat Yeo's expertise lies in the regions of Singapore, China, Taiwan, and Vietnam, where he has honed his skills in complex disputes involving public infrastructure, power plants, oil refineries, and commercial developments.

In addition to handling contentious matters, Boon Tat Yeo also advises on non-contentious construction matters, such as tender documentation, contract preparation, procurement strategy, and project risk management. This end-to-end legal support will provide comprehensive assistance for construction projects.

John Sze, the managing partner at JTJB, expressed his excitement about Boon Tat's addition, stating that it marks a key milestone in the growth of the firm. The new senior partner increases the number of partners at JTJB in Singapore to eight.

Before joining JTJB, Boon Tat was a director at Quahe Woo & Palmer and a partner at Pinsent Masons MPillay. His previous experience at WFW and Quahe Woo & Palmer has undoubtedly prepared him well for his new role.

With Boon Tat at the helm, JTJB's Construction and Infrastructure Practice is poised to offer top-tier legal services in the construction and infrastructure sector.

Boon Tat Yeo, in his new role as the head of JTJB's Construction and Infrastructure Practice, will provide legal services that extend to the intersection of law, business, finance, and construction, drawing upon his extensive experience in the sector. His repertoire encompasses providing counsel on tender documentation, contract preparation, and project risk management, indicative of a business-focused approach to law.
