Construction of the Moscow Collector's Third Expansion Phase Underway in Krasnodar
Completed Third Stage of Sewer Collector Restoration on Moscow Street in Krasnodar
The third stage of a sewer collector restoration project on Moscow Street in Krasnodar has been successfully completed, and the road section from Zhipovskaya to 40th Anniversary of Victory is set to reopen on May 31. The final, fourth stage involves replacing the remaining 680 meters of pipes from Zhipovskaya to Solnechnaya, with the collector restoration expected to be finished by August 31.
Traffic flow will be affected throughout the project, with restricted travel on the odd side of the road from Zhipovskaya towards Solnechnaya. Detours will be organized, and exits from inner courtyards will be ensured. The works on the last stage of the project will result in a temporary closure of the tram line to Peter Metallnikov, with trams running on an alternative route to Dekabristov Street. The tram track crossing will be closed from June 21 to July 5, with traffic resuming after the completion of works and the restoration of the track.
To prevent future issues, specialists will carry out proactive maintenance of engineering networks on Stakhanov Street, where over 600 meters of worn-out pipes will be replaced. The project will take four months, and traffic will be partially restricted on Dzerzhinsky Street towards Stakhanov Street. To augment the system's capacity, the diameter of the pipes will be increased by 50 mm, ensuring high-quality sewage systems for the next 50 years in the Repino and Aviagorodok microdistricts.
Though no specific details have been released about a potential two-week tram traffic stop in July, those planning to travel in Krasnodar are encouraged to check with local transportation authorities or use online resources to stay updated on any potential tram service disruptions.
