Contesting the Court's Ruling on Six-Figures: Lilly Becker Fights Back

Looks like greenbacks and gold, but who gets to keep 'em? Lilly Becker's sparring with TV manager Pierre Uebelhack over a hoopla-worthy sum continues. Their tiff ended up in court, with a partial judgment handed down in April. Now, Becker's throwing her hat in the ring for a redo!

Back in February, during a settlement hearing, the RTL jungle queen queenpin asserted that Uebelhack, her alleged former squeeze, had been magnanimous enough to give her the dough. On the other hand, Uebelhack insisted that the six-figure moolah he'd bestowed upon Becker during her financial crisis was a loan and wanted his money back. Joining the big leagues, Uebelhack won his case at Munich's District Court on April 16, with his claims duly granted. Guess who's paying up? Yep, ol' Lilly Becker. Wanna know more about the figures Uebelhack's seeking? Bild spilled the beans: he's asking for a whopping 154,733 euros, plus 27,961 euros for a loan he claims Becker took, and a tidy interest sum of 32,248.19 euros, along with legal fees of 3,311.18 euros.

But the famed catwalker refuses to admit defeat. As per RTL info, she's already appealed the decision, submitting her papers before May 16th.

Clashes over Cash: A Loan or a Love Gift?

Uebelhack and Becker - a couple, according to Miss Becker, or just a fleeting fling according to Mr. Uebelhack? They hooked up in 2018, but Uebelhack denies a steady romance. Allegedly, he lent Becker a jaw-dropping 489,869.12 euros to keep her afloat financially. The due date for Becker to repay the loan was August 31, 2022. Not one jot interested in footing the bill, Becker claimed the dough was a love gift. Snapshots of loan agreements, according to Uebelhack, prove Becker knew the cash was a loan. Digitally doctored signatures, huh? Becker argued in court that her signature had been digitally forged.

However, Judge Robert Engelmann declared in April that Becker had fibbed. "The judge believes, based on the evidence, that the money undisputedly exchanged hands was not a gift, but a loan. Thus, he supposes the debt must be paid back," Cornelia Kallert, spokeswoman for RTL's court, shared at the time.

In light of the court ruling, Lilly Becker is required to repay a substantial amount to Pierre Uebelhack, as the court deemed the money received as a loan and not a gift, as Becker had claimed. Becker has already initiated the appeal process, aiming to overturn the ruling and potentially alter the repayment terms, which could involve vocational training to secure a stable income to manage the repayment in the future, especially within the context of the community policy that encourages self-sufficiency and independence.
