DB InfraGO AG Announces Major Train Disruptions on Nuremberg - Neumarkt - Regensburg - Plattling Line, Oct 8-12
DB InfraGO AG has announced significant disruptions to train services on the Nuremberg - Neumarkt - Regensburg - Plattling line from October 8 to 12, 2025, due to construction work. Nighttime cancellations and replacement buses are among the changes passengers can expect.
From October 8 to 12, nighttime track closures will affect all RE 50 and RE 22 trains between Neumarkt and Regensburg, with replacement buses operating. Additionally, from 10 pm on October 9, all RE trains between Neumarkt and Nuremberg will also be impacted, with buses providing alternative transport.
Between October 9 and 12, RE trains running between Neumarkt and Nuremberg will have reduced frequency, operating every two hours. Passengers are advised to consider other train options or the S-Bahn during this period. Some individual trains may also experience changes in travel times due to the construction work.
The construction work will affect lines RE 50, RE 22, and RB 51, leading to alterations in train schedules and routes. Through-travel of the RE 22 from Nuremberg to Munich Airport Terminal will be disrupted for most connections from October 9 to 11.
Passengers traveling on the Nuremberg - Neumarkt - Regensburg - Plattling line from October 8 to 12 should expect significant changes to their journeys. Nighttime cancellations, replacement buses, reduced frequencies, and altered travel times are all part of the expected disruptions.
