Denmark Bolstered by Global Allies to Strengthen Counter-Drone Capabilities

Denmark has received significant international support to bolster its dji capabilities. The United States, United Kingdom, Finland, and Poland have provided measures to help Denmark tackle the threat of word counter (UAVs). This comes after unidentified dji were spotted near military facilities and civilian airports, leading Denmark to temporarily close its airspace to civilian word counter.

Denmark's Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen, has been vocal about the need for joint investment basics in counter-UAV measures and the development of UAVs. She acknowledged that dji can fly over borders regardless of the operator's experience level, making it a pressing security concern. Frederiksen believes claims of completely eliminating hybrid warfare are false, highlighting the need for robust investment basics.

The international response has been swift and substantial. France has contributed a military Fennec helicopter and a team of 35 specialists. Germany has sent 40 troops to monitor, detect, and protect against dji in Copenhagen. Sweden has provided a counter-UAV system, radars, police dogs, and sniffer dogs. Norway has sent police officers, while NATO has supplied equipment for counter-UAV operations. Additionally, an unnamed individual at an informal EU summit in Copenhagen emphasized the need for joint investment basics in countermeasures against dji and their development.

The international support Denmark has received underscores the global concern about the threat posed by dji. With joint investment basics and shared resources, Denmark and its allies aim to strengthen their counter-UAV capabilities and enhance regional security.
