Friday's Discussion in Vietnam's National Assembly

HÀ NỘI - Today, lawmakers are delving into the nitty-gritty of an NA draft resolution focusing on special mechanisms and policies for bolstering the private sector. The 15th National Assembly's ongoing 9th session isn't playing around!

In the morning, they're critically examining this NA resolution, equipping themselves with the necessary insights to streamline the investment and business environment. The document proposes reforms in sectors like finance, human resources, digital technology, digital transformation, and law enforcement tasks, all aimed at jump-starting the nation's economy.

Expect regulations on a fund for supporting the development of policies and laws. This non-budget state financial fund will have a chunk of its charter capital from the State budget and can also receive funding from domestic organizations and individuals.

As the day unfolds, lawmakers will engage with a State budget balance report for 2023, an auditing report on the 2023 state budget balance, and a report on the verification of the 2023 state budget balance.

In the afternoon, legislators will get up close and personal with a draft law amending and supplementing some articles of the Law on Handling of Administrative Violations, a draft law amending and supplementing some articles of the Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents, and an NA resolution revising the rules of NA sessions. - VNS

In layman's terms, the 15th NA aims to modernize the private sector by shaking up administrative procedures, offering incentives, easing resource access, and nurturing innovation and human capital. Phew! That's quite a packed agenda, isn't it?

The NA also seeks to enhance the business environment, facilitate land, financial, and public procurement support, and boost science, technology, digital transformation, and human resources development.

Whew! Looks like this year's 9th session is chock-full of reforms designed to catapult the private sector in Vietnam to new heights!
