From July 21, 2025, **significant changes** are expected in the tram traffic of Dresden's Neustadt and Altpieschen districts, involving lines 4, 9, and 13. These alterations include the introduction of replacement services EV 4 and EV 13, as well as potential route diversions, suspension of stops, or frequency adjustments.

The construction works in Altpieschen, scheduled to last until August 11, 2025, are the main cause of these changes. The search for detailed information about these changes did not yield specific results, highlighting the importance of checking the official Dresden public transport provider (DVB) or local transit authority websites or announcements for the most accurate and detailed updates.

Line 4 will be operating on a split route. Trams will run from Tolkewitz to Anton-/Leipziger Straße, then to Bahnhof Neustadt and Liststraße, and finally to Trachenberger Platz in the east. In the west, line 4 will only extend as far as Dreyßigplatz in Mickten. From Bahnhof Neustadt, EV 13 will take over and run via Hansastraße, Fritz-Reuter-Straße, Harkortstraße, Bürgerstraße, Rehefelder Straße, Wurzener Straße, and Sternstraße to Kaditz.

During the specified times, line 4 will not run to Trachenberge but will continue as line 13 to Prohlis. In the late evening hours, at night, and on Saturday and Sunday mornings, line 4 will be connected to line 13 at Fritz-Reuter-Straße.

It's worth noting that the decision to build a swimming pool for Pieschen and Neustadt was made six weeks before the local election. However, Green city district councilor Oliver Mehl has commented that there will be no pool for Neustadt and Pieschen. The city council will decide on the Dresden Bath Concept on April 11.

Travellers are advised to stay informed and plan their journeys accordingly, as these changes may impact their travel plans. For the latest updates on these tram lines and replacement traffic during this period, please refer to the official Dresden public transport provider or local transit authority websites or announcements.
