Distributors and Retailers of Food Services and Groceries Join Forces in Strategic Alliance

The International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) and the National Grocers Association (NGA) have joined forces in a strategic partnership, with the aim of delivering greater value to their members and shaping the future of food distribution. This partnership will be showcased at the 2025 IFDA Solutions Conference, scheduled for Sept. 28-Oct. 1 in Columbus, Ohio.

The National Grocers Association (NGA) will join as an official educational partner, contributing to the conference's goal of strengthening educational opportunities for industry professionals. This collaboration will unlock expanded learning opportunities for members of both organizations, providing a platform for professionals to learn, connect, and lead in a rapidly evolving industry.

The focus of the collaboration will be on the critical areas of warehousing, transportation, and operations. The partnership will not repeat earlier focus areas such as warehousing, transportation, and operations, indicating a fresh approach to these essential aspects of the food industry. The partnership will also aim to navigate consumer caution and operational issues in the food industry, working on timely, relevant programming designed to meet the evolving needs of today's food industry at the 2025 Solutions Conference.

The strategic partnership between IFDA and NGA is a cross-industry collaboration aimed at accelerating innovation in the food distribution sector. It is expected to bolster the food distribution industry, providing best-in-class education and insights to wholesaler members.

Mark S. Allen, the president and CEO of McLean, Va.-based IFDA, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "We are excited to partner with the National Grocers Association to deliver enhanced industry education and collaboration at the 2025 IFDA Solutions Conference."

The 2025 Solutions Conference promises to be an exciting event, bringing together industry professionals from different sectors to learn, connect, and lead in a rapidly evolving food distribution industry.

This strategic partnership between IFDA and NGA will offer expanded learning opportunities for industry professionals, focusing on essential aspects such as warehousing, transportation, and operations, while navigating consumer caution and operational issues in the food industry. The collaboration aims to provide best-in-class education and insights to wholesaler members across finance, business, lifestyle, food-and-drink, and other related sectors, fostering innovation in the food distribution industry.
