Dubai Hosts WETEX 2025: A Global Sustainability Showcase
Dubai is set to host the 27th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX), a global event focused on sustainability and the green economy, from 30 September to 2 October at Dubai World Trade Centre. Organized by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), WETEX serves as a platform for international partnerships and innovation in clean energy.
WETEX 2025, supported by major sponsors such as Masdar, TAQA, ENOC, Siemens Energy, ACWA Power, and Hitachi Energy, will showcase solutions in solar, wind, storage, desalination, and digital energy technologies. Key highlights include DEWA's Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park and the Green Hydrogen project.
Participants will come from international pavilions set up by France, Belgium, Poland, Russia, and Canada. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA and Founder and Chairman of WETEX, sees the exhibition as a means to reinforce international cooperation in sustainability. WETEX supports the UAE's Net Zero 2050 Strategy and National Hydrogen Strategy 2050, with clean energy expected to make up 36 percent of the UAE's energy mix by 2030.
The 27th WETEX, held under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, is expected to attract significant international participation. It serves as a testament to Dubai's commitment to sustainability and the green economy.
