Dublin Airport Welcomes New Airlines and Milestones in 2023

Dublin Airport is set to mark a significant milestone and welcome new airlines this year. SAS will celebrate 50 years of service, while Ethiopian Airlines made history as the first African scheduled carrier in 2015. Turkish Airlines will maintain its double daily operation into the next winter season.

In June 2016, Aegean Airlines will become the ninth Star Alliance carrier to operate from Dublin Airport. While no new airline is confirmed for this summer, SkyUp will commence operations to Chișinău in Moldova for the winter season. Swiss International Airlines will offer 13 weekly services, including a Geneva route, during the summer.

Dublin Airport is keen to grow its services with Asia's Star Alliance members. Air Canada Rouge will introduce a new route to Vancouver this summer. The airport's development team is attending Routes Asia in Manila to explore unserved markets in Asia. United Airlines will expand its Newark operation to a year-round double daily service from Winter 2016/2017. Lufthansa will also increase its Munich service to nine flights per week during the peak summer months.

Dublin Airport looks forward to celebrating SAS's 50-year milestone and welcoming new airlines like SkyUp. The airport continues to strengthen its connections with Asia and Europe, with expanded services from Air Canada Rouge, United Airlines, and Lufthansa.
