Emirates Brings Refurbished Boeing 777 to South Africa
Emirates has launched its retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft to African skies, with Johannesburg and Cape Town becoming the first destinations to enjoy the enhanced passenger experience. The tour showcased the airline's commitment to South Africa and its passengers.
The aircraft boasts a total of 320 seats, divided into four cabins: Economy, Premium Economy, Business Class, and First Class Suites. Afzal Parambil, Regional Manager for Southern Africa, Emirates, expressed delight in deploying the aircraft, highlighting the improved passenger experience.
Key stakeholders from South Africa's aviation and tourism sectors attended the event, witnessing the debut of the Premium Economy Cabin in the country. The Boeing 777 Business Class cabin has been redesigned for privacy and space, with seats set up in a 1-2-1 arrangement. Meanwhile, the First Class Suites maintain high levels of comfort, privacy, and luxury with refreshed interiors.
The refurbished Boeing 777 features upgraded interiors with modern design elements, including Ghaf Tree motifs and wood finishes across all cabins. Emirates hosted a guided tour of the aircraft in Cape Town and Johannesburg, allowing passengers to experience the next-generation cabins firsthand.
