Enhanced In-house Quality Control Initiative by Blackline Safety

Blackline Safety Corp., a leading provider of connected safety solutions, has significantly expanded its Quality Assurance (QA) program to ensure the highest levels of product reliability and safety performance. The expansion includes a larger QA team, upgraded inspection equipment, and enhanced in-lab testing across its entire product line [1][2][4].

The global QA team has grown by more than 250%, now consisting of 35 quality assurance specialists who perform detailed quality tests on every safety device before shipment [4]. This expansion aims to improve product reliability and safety performance through more rigorous and automated testing conducted entirely in-house at its manufacturing facility.

Blackline has invested CAD 2 million historically in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and advanced automated inspection tools. These tools test product reliability factors like dock insertions and button pressing, ensuring devices withstand water immersion, extreme temperatures, and dust penetration potentially harmful to internal components [1][2][4].

Testings now involve a 68-point quality assessment simulating real-life conditions just steps from the manufacturing floor. This allows for quick real-time reactions and thorough evaluation of radios, sensors, alarms, and connectivity across cellular and satellite networks [4]. The entire product line undergoes these in-depth reliability and durability tests [1][5].

One of the key solutions introduced to combat the growing threat of illegal cell jammers is JamAlert, a detection device designed to secure cellular signal systems [6]. Blackline Safety's QA process is designed to protect professionals like lone workers, firefighters, and technicians who rely on its devices for their safety [7].

Blair Svoboda, Director of Quality Assurance at Blackline Safety, emphasizes the importance of early-stage protection in the lab and on the production line to ensure safety technology performs flawlessly when it matters most [1][4]. The expanded QA Program allows for real-time reaction to any issues.
