Bremen, Germany - Next week, the city will celebrate its "Ischa Freimaak!" from October 18 to November 3. In anticipation of the large number of visitors, Bremen's public transport provider, BSAG, has announced several adjustments to their services to ensure a smooth journey for all.
During the Freimarkt, the Bremer Freimarkt will be accessible via BSAG lines 1, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 24, 25, 26, 27, 63, and night lines N1, N3, N4, N5, N7, N9, and N10. For those travelling from Harpstedt to Bremen, an additional bus on Line 226/227 will depart from Harpstedt, Freistraße stop on Friday and Saturday nights at 6:50 PM, with stops in Dühnsen, Kirchseelte, Fahrenhorst, Heiligenrode, Groß Mackenstedt, and Varreler Landstraße. During the Freimarkt, additional trains will run on the Regio-S-Bahn lines RS1 (Bremen-Vegesack and Verden (Aller)) and RS2 (Bremerhaven).
For those opting for Park & Ride, parking lot P4 at the Universityallee is available as a free Park & Ride parking lot from 2:00 PM to 6:30 AM (next day) from October 18 to November 3. The Park & Ride Freimarkt ticket, priced at 4.30 euros, is available on Line 6 via ticket machines and is valid for one adult for the round trip between the university and Hauptbahnhof-Nord/Messe. It is free for children under 15 years old. No special ticket is required for Park & Ride facilities at P+R Sielhof (served by Line 4 or night line N4), P+R Norderländer Straße (B75) (served by Lines 1 and 8 or N1), and P+R Borgfeld (served by Lines 4 and N4).
