The Abu Dhabi Finance Week (ADFW) 2025 is set to take place from December 8 to December 11, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of Abu Dhabi as a global financial hub. The theme for this ambitious edition is "Engineering the Capital Network," which underscores the convergence of advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence and quantum computing, with global finance.

His Excellency Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of ADGM, has commented that ADFW 2025 will be the most ambitious edition yet. This sentiment is reflected in the event's growth, as it is set to double in size compared to the 2024 ADFW, which gathered over 20,000 global leaders, experts, executives, and policymakers, collectively controlling USD 42.5 trillion of assets.

The ADFW, hosted by ADGM, the international financial centre of Abu Dhabi, has grown steadily since its inception. Initially focused on capital flows, the event has broadened its scope to include technological innovation in finance, reflecting Abu Dhabi’s strategic positioning as a gateway for international investment.

The significance of ADFW 2025 lies in its ambition to set new standards for financial gatherings in the Middle East and beyond. It underscores Abu Dhabi’s evolving role from a traditional capital exporter to a pivotal global financial hub with two-way capital flows, supported by robust institutions and a world-class regulatory framework at ADGM.

Last year, Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth funds managed an unparalleled USD 1.7 trillion of assets. This strategic vision to become a future-ready, internationally renowned financial center is reflected in the ADFW's trajectory, which has seen it become a launchpad and stage for international deals, partnerships, and major announcements.

In 2023, global financial institutions representing USD 450 billion of assets under management (AUM) announced at the ADFW that they were setting up in ADGM. A year later, in 2024, institutions representing USD 650 billion in AUM announced they were joining the ADGM community during the ADFW.

The ADFW 2025 will be held at a new location, further emphasising its ambitious growth. For more information about the ADFW, visit: www.adfw.com. The ADFW 2025 is headlined by ADQ, underscoring its importance in the region's financial landscape. As the event approaches, anticipation grows for the groundbreaking innovations and partnerships that will shape the future of global finance.

The ADFW 2025, with its theme of "Engineering the Capital Network," promises to feature news and announcements that will showcase the convergence of cloud technologies and the finance industry, reflecting Abu Dhabi's strategic position as a business and financial hub. In light of the event's ambition to double in size compared to the 2024 ADFW, business leaders and experts worldwide are eager to discuss and explore finance-related cloud solutions within the expanding context of international capital flows.
