Clifford Chance Reinforces Madrid Real Estate Team with Appointment of Seasoned Lawyer
London-based law firm Clifford Chance has bolstered its Madrid real estate department with the addition of Partner Gabriel Cabello, who previously worked at Linklaters.
Cabello, a lawyer with over 20 years of experience, brings a broad client base and extensive knowledge in strategic real estate transactions, as well as general corporate matters. His practice focuses on corporate and financial restructuring, financing, and the acquisition and divestment of real estate assets. In addition, he has expertise in leasing, construction contracts, urban planning, and the management of distressed debt.
Cabello holds degrees in Law and Political Science from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, a Master's in Urban Planning Law from the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares, and a Master's in Advanced Legal Studies from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
In his new role at Clifford Chance, Cabello will be part of a team led by Carlos Portocarrero de las Heras in Spain and Francois Bonteil globally. Francois Bonteil, the global head of real estate, anticipates that Cabello’s addition will allow the firm to better guide clients throughout their complex real estate-related matters.
