In a remarkable display of talent and dedication, a team of students from the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Astana, Kazakhstan, outperformed some of the world's strongest competitors at the International Economics Olympiad held in Baku.
The team, consisting of Batyrkhan Mukhtarkhan, Adilet Abzaliev, Nurkhan Tuleyev, and Daniyal Arystan, secured podium places in the team event for business cases. Batyrkhan Mukhtarkhan, a standout performer, was the team member who won a medal at the competition.
The International Economics Olympiad, which focused on economics, finance, and entrepreneurship, attracted approximately 280 students from 55 countries. The Kazakhstani team showcased an outstanding performance, winning a gold, two silver, and a bronze medal.
The students from NIS competed against strong teams such as the USA, Japan, and the UK. Despite the tough competition, they defended Kazakhstan's honor with distinction.
