Florian Keller Named Wikimedia Endowment MD, to Lead Finance & Services
Florian Keller has been named Managing Director of the Wikimedia Endowment, effective January 1, 2024. He will also lead the Finance and Central Services department of Wikimedia Germany, succeeding an unnamed predecessor.
Keller brings a wealth of experience to his new roles. Currently, he serves as Administrative Director of the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics in Potsdam and Hannover. Previously, he held the position of Managing Director at the International Solar Energy Research Center Konstanz and MUTIK. His background also includes a stint as Legal Counsel for the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra. Keller's appointment is expected to strengthen Wikimedia's financial management and central services.
