Frank Schindler Named New Director of ProWein Düsseldorf

Frank Schindler, a Weinakademiker and holder of a Master's in International Wine Marketing, is set to take the reins as Director of ProWein Düsseldorf on October 15, 2023. Schindler brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously led the Esterhazy winery and Vinum Weinhandel GmbH. Meanwhile, Peter Schmitz is returning to his former department after nearly three years at the helm of ProWein Düsseldorf.

Schindler's new role will involve overseeing the six international ProWein World trade fairs in Asia and South America. He will report directly to Michael Degen, Executive Director Trade Fairs, and head the project team in Düsseldorf. Schindler will also manage the project management of ProWein Düsseldorf and ProSpirits. His key task will be driving forward the global strategic positioning and international digital marketing of ProWein.

Schindler's extensive industry expertise, honed during his tenure as CEO of the Esterhazy winery and Vinum Weinhandel GmbH, makes him an ideal fit for this role. His predecessor's identity remains unclear, but Schindler's appointment is expected to bring fresh perspectives to the event.
