Funds Transfer of €64,000 Received by Robin Good
Deutsche Telekom Donates €64,000 to ROBIN GOOD
Deutsche Telekom AG has shown its commitment to supporting local communities by donating €64,000 to ROBIN GOOD, a family fund of Caritas and Diakonie in Bonn. The donation was announced during the Telekom's 30th birthday city festival, which featured around 70 family-friendly activities and performances by renowned artists like Clueso, Zartmann, and Chilly Gonzales.
The donation will go towards supporting children, youth, and families living in poverty in Bonn and the surrounding region. Robin Good promotes projects in the fields of education, sports, and health for children and young people, and also provides financial one-time aid to income-weak families for the acquisition of essential items such as furniture, clothing, and school materials.
Philipp Schindera, head of corporate communications at Deutsche Telekom, stated that they were delighted with the generosity of Bonners during the city festival. He also added that ROBIN GOOD is a good partner for Telekom to help directly in Bonn, and that being able to support a good cause afterwards made the city festival even better.
The donation amount was made up of half from earnings of Ferris wheel rides and the Chilly Gonzales concert at the city festival. Andrea Elsmann, managing director of the Diakonisches Werk Bonn and Region, and Caritas director Jean-Pierre Schneider accepted the check from Telekom during a presentation at the Bonn Telekom headquarters.
Robin Good's vision is that all children have the same chances in life, regardless of social origin, financial status, nationality, or religious affiliation. The organisation stands up against child and family poverty and improves the living conditions of disadvantaged children and families in Bonn and the region.
According to studies by the Bertelsmann Foundation, one in five children lives in poverty, including in Bonn and the Rhein-Sieg district. Telekom donated an additional €32,000 to ROBIN GOOD, bringing the total donation to €64,000.
The donation comes as a welcome boost to ROBIN GOOD, which is funded exclusively by donations and sponsorship funds. Telekom's donation is a testament to the company's commitment to giving back to the community and making a positive impact in the lives of those in need.
