Whoop-de-doo! Moscow Exchange Now Allows You to Wager on Coffee Prices 🔥

Gear up, traders! The Moscow Exchange is throwing their hat into the ring of commodity futures trading, starting with none other than coffee (codenamed KC). Each contract lot clocks in at a cool £10 ( Approx. 3,100 rubles), and contract execution is slated five times a year - February, April, June, August, and November. Quotes are doled out in good ole' US dollars per quid.

Now, why all the fuss about coffee? According to the Exchange, it's one of the most dynamic commodities out there, with prices reaching dizzying heights this year. These contracts reflect the exchange rate of coffee beans sourced from various regions, offering wide-ranging exposure to traders with both short-term and long-term strategies in mind.

So, why does this matter to you, my friend importing, processing, or peddling those precious coffee beans? Well, the Exchange explains that a coffee futures contract acts as a shield against the sort of market turbulence that can mess with your business's stability.

As if that weren't enough excitement, the Exchange is also cooking up plans for orange juice futures in the first half of 2025, as previously spilled by the head honcho of the derivatives market at the Moscow Exchange, Maria Patrikeeva. She stressed that those will be based on international market prices.
