Gas-linked households total 561 families identified
In a significant stride towards improving the quality of life for its citizens, the social gasification program, initiated by President of Russia Vladimir Putin, is making significant progress. This national project, spearheaded by the oil and gas company Sakhatransneftegaz, is designed to provide modern energy resources to all citizens of the country.
Alexei Kolodzhnikov, the general director of Sakhatransneftegaz, reported that the program is currently progressing well in the Republic. The company is actively expanding gas infrastructure, particularly focusing on remote and rural areas, to enhance living standards and energy efficiency.
Notable progress has been made in several districts, including the Upper Viluisky district, where 29 houses are now receiving network gas for heating and cooking, out of an annual plan of 5 households. Significant volumes of work have also been completed in Churapchinsky, Megino-Kangalassky, and Viluisky uluses, with 48, 46, and 30 gas launches respectively.
In Yakutsk city, 323 connections have been made, with an annual plan of 791 houses. These connections are not just a step towards modern energy resources, but also a significant improvement in energy efficiency and a boost to the local economy.
Sakhatransneftegaz's approach to social gasification is comprehensive, with the company modernizing gas distribution networks simultaneously with connections. A comprehensive contract for gasification includes the development of project documentation, performance of construction and installation works, and supply of necessary gas equipment.
The company's head, Alexei Kolodzhnikov, emphasized effective cooperation between the district administration and their company as a key factor in the program's success. He also highlighted that social gasification is a crucial project that should cover all regions of the country, providing citizens with affordable and modern energy resources.
In his speech at the meeting of the Council for Strategic Development on December 13, 2021, Putin emphasized the importance of social gasification, underscoring its role in regional development efforts aimed at promoting economic growth and environmental benefits through cleaner energy use.
As of now, 561 families have connected their homes to gas supply in various districts and the republic's capital. The future plans of Sakhatransneftegaz include improving the reliability of gas supply, upgrading infrastructure, and integrating modern technologies to ensure sustainable and safe gasification across the Republic. The program is a key part of regional development efforts aimed at promoting economic growth and environmental benefits through cleaner energy use.
Finance is being boosted in the Republic with the progress of the social gasification program, as the connections made in Yakutsk city alone are expected to contribute significantly to the local economy. The energy industry is seeing a shift towards cleaner energy use and modern resources, as the comprehensive approach of Sakhatransneftegaz in the social gasification project aligns with the national objectives in finance and business, set by President Putin.
