German Sustainability Award 2025 Honors 100 Companies Balancing Ecology and Economy

The German Sustainability Award 2025 has recognized 100 companies for balancing ecological responsibility with economic success. Initiated by Stefan Schulze-Hausmann, this award comes at a crucial time as EU environmental standards are debated. The winners, ranging from established corporations to innovative start-ups, were selected from over 2,000 applicants by a 240-member expert jury. The award ceremony will take place on December 4 and 5 in Düsseldorf, coinciding with one of the largest European transformation congresses.

A growing trend among European business leaders is evident. A recent August YouGov survey found that 63 percent of European CEOs support binding climate plans for large companies. This sentiment is echoed by 63 percent of European managers, indicating a broad commitment to sustainability. The award winners demonstrate that ecological responsibility and economic success can go hand in hand. They were chosen from a pool of over 2,000 applicants, highlighting the strong interest in sustainability among businesses.
