DLA Piper Strengthens Private Equity Capabilities with Chris Field's Appointment
DLA Piper has made a strategic move to expand and strengthen its private equity capabilities with the appointment of Chris Field as a partner in its London office, effective September 2025.
Field, a highly respected private equity veteran, joins from Dechert where he was co-head of their private equity practice. He brings extensive experience advising major private equity houses, sovereign wealth funds, and other institutional investors on cross-border private equity and M&A transactions across the UK and Europe.
Field's dual-qualification in England & Wales and South Africa will enable him to seamlessly integrate with DLA Piper's existing teams and other practice groups such as Tax, Finance, Employment, and Real Estate, supporting complex deal structures and boosting collaboration.
Jon Kenworthy, Global Co-Chair of DLA Piper's Corporate Group, highlighted that Field’s cross-border and sector skill set aligns with the firm’s strategic growth plan to increase market presence and effectively serve clients on important transactions, utilizing DLA Piper’s global platform.
