Gobi Praises BoomGrow's Food Security Solutions; Jisu Energy Raises RMB 5M, ADB Unlocks USD 100B
Gobi Partners' Jamaludin Bujang has praised BoomGrow's innovative solutions for ensuring food security. Meanwhile, Jisu Energy has secured RMB 5 million in funding, and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has unlocked USD 100 billion for addressing global challenges.
BoomGrow, a Malaysian agritech startup, has garnered praise from Gobi Partners' managing partner Jamaludin Bujang. He believes the company's 'machine farms' in shipping containers can significantly reduce land, water, and labor use, ensuring food security for future generations. Founded by Mathias Weidlich in 2008, BoomGrow has expanded into the Philippines and attracted investment from Gobi Partners' GDIV fund.
In funding news, Jisu Energy has raised RMB 5 million (USD 696,000) in a pre-Series A round from Yingda Asset Management. The company aims to develop clean energy solutions. Separately, InterContinental Energy has secured USD 115 million for large-scale green hydrogen adoption.
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved capital management reforms that will unlock USD 100 billion in new funding over the next decade. This additional funding will be used to tackle overlapping crises, manage climate change, and address gender inequality in the Asia and Pacific region.
BoomGrow's innovative farming solutions have been recognised by Gobi Partners, while Jisu Energy and InterContinental Energy have secured significant funding for clean energy projects. The Asian Development Bank's capital management reforms will provide substantial new funding for addressing critical global issues.
