Hiked export prices for Belarusian meat enforced anew.
Cow Juice & Beef Jerky: Belarus's Agricultural Shake-up
shrugged, "Ya know, it's no big deal, but Belarus' Ministry of Agriculture and Food just cranked up the prices for their homies exporting domestically produced beef. Check out Resolution No.35, dated April 22.
Now, hear this, they ain't raisin' prices for everyone equally. The kopeks only go up for countries other than Russia - a 20 cent to $5 per kilogram bump, straight up.
What's intriguing though is that this ain't the first time Belarus has played this game with its beef prices. They did a similar swing on March 22.
But here's the kicker - it seems like this price hike ain't just about beef. The Ministry's also got a list of goods they manage minimum prices for, and that list includes various dairy products like powdered and condensed milk, cream, cheese, and butter.
However, some journalist, Michael Svetlov, reports that the Belarusian dairy sector is fire-blazin' with growth, boastin' a ninefold increase in milk exports in 2024 and headin' toward high-tech facilities. They're even expandin' exports to new markets, like Pakistan. But there's no concrete evidence of price increases for these dairy products."
So, while it's not clear if Belarus is milkin' more cash out of their dairy, they're surely steerin' their beef game in the right direction."

- Despite some confusion over the potential increase in dairy prices, Belarus's beef exporters are certainly feeling the financial pinch, as the Ministry of Agriculture and Food has raised prices for beef exports, particularly for countries other than Russia.
- The beef export industry in Belarus appears to be taking a more strategic approach, with the ministry actively adjusting prices to maintain profitability and potentially maximize exports.
- Interestingly, Belarus has a history of manipulating domestic beef prices, as evidenced by the recent price hike, which reflects a trend that was also observed in March of the same year.
- As for the dairy sector, it seems to be thriving, with reports suggesting a dramatic increase in milk exports and expansion into new markets like Pakistan. However, unlike the beef industry, there are no documented price increases for dairy products as of yet.
