Hyundai India Reports Strong September 2025 Sales, SUVs and Exports Drive Growth
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has reported a robust September 2025, with domestic passenger car wholesales surging to 51,547 units, a 0.9% increase year-on-year. This growth is driven by a strong performance in SUV sales and a significant jump in exports.
HMIL's total sales in September 2025 reached 70,347 units, marking a 9.6% increase from the same period last year. This impressive figure is bolstered by a 16.3% increase compared to August 2025 and a 17.2% rise in domestic wholesales. The company's SUVs, which accounted for 72.4% of domestic sales, played a significant role in this growth, with 37,313 units sold.
The Hyundai Venue and Hyundai Creta were standout performers. The Venue sold 11,484 units, its best performance in 20 months, while the Creta achieved its highest-ever monthly sales of 18,861 units. Exports also contributed to the success, jumping 43.5% to 18,800 units, the highest monthly tally since December 2022.
HMIL's September 2025 sales reflect a consistent growth trajectory over the last four months. With a strong showing in SUV sales and exports, the company is well-positioned to maintain this momentum. Despite the lack of October 2025 sales data, the 10% increase in sales from August to September indicates a positive trend.
