In the rhythm of the digital world, Daniil Getmantsev, the head of the parliamentary financial committee, recently dropped some hot stats in his Telegram channel. According to his numbers, July showed a significant surge in revenues – a whopping 3.5 times more than last year, totaling 1.4 billion UAH.

This uptrend seems to be the result of the ongoing demonetization wave, which appears to be gathering steam thanks to all you folks working hard and maintaining that integrity, says the deputy.

However, Getmantsev didn't hold back his criticism for the regulator, KRAIL – the Commission for Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries in Ukraine. The lack of launch for the online monitoring system is, well, nothing new from this seemingly helpless powerhouse, Getmantsev pointed out.

In related news, the gambling sector in Ukraine is experiencing its fair share of legal shake-ups. Efforts like the ban on gambling advertising in most media except during late-night hours or on operator platforms, and the implementation of restrictions on online advertising targeting users over 21, using age-verification technology, are part of the new regulatory updates effective April 2025. These rule changes signal more changes on the horizon, but the specifics of KRAIL's online monitoring system challenges are yet to be seen.

However, concerns have been raised about the Commission for Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries in Ukraine (KRAIL), with Getmantsev, the head of the parliamentary financial committee, criticizing the delay in launching an online monitoring system.
